Sea Life Discovery Tour at Puerto Aventuras on The Riviera Maya

The only program in the world where you can interact with sealions, manatees and swim with dolphins. This unique program brings you the ultimate interactive experience.

Start your adventure with a behind-the-scenes tour, where you will learn about how we care for the various animals. You will also help our experts in preparing the food for the manatees, which you will feed to them during the program.

Be thrilled by the soft touch of the sealions and then meet our three amazing manatees - Who could resist their kisses? - and interact with these gentle creatures, before moving on to the excitement of a swim with the dolphins, to complete your Experience of a Lifetime!.

Puerto Aventuras, set on a spectacular stretch of white sand beach, is a 900 acre resort community located on the Riviera Maya 98 kilometers south of Cancun. The resort is built along the beach and around a large marina complex.

The facility sits in the heart of the complex and is built on a lush, tropical island in the middle of a lagoon that is home to our dolphins.

There is a $5.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy:

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Important Notes:

Sea Life Discovery Plus is an interactive program involving encounters with sealions and manatees, and a swim with dolphins.
Group sizes are limited to give you maximum enjoyment.
Advance booking is recommended.
Minimum age: 8 years
Children 8 - 12 are welcome to participate when also accompanied by a paying adult.
The use of safety vests is required in all of our programs.
Pregnant women cannot participate in this program.
The Sea Life Discovery Program is only available at our Puerto Aventuras location.
We recommend that guests bring towels and extra money for taxis, shopping, lunch, etc.
If children cover the age of 12 yrs and over, they are allowed to swim on their own.
Photos and videos are taken during our programs and are available for purchase only on the day of the program.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why is there a lower age limit of 8 years old for children in the Swim program?
Although many children are good swimmers for their age, the Swim program is an inter-active program and requires a certain amount of physical strength. 8 years of age is the most appropriate cut-off for children.

Is my 15-year old son/daughter considered old enough to act as the 'responsible adult' for my daughter of 10 years?
Sorry - the responsible adult must be at least 18 years of age.

Is there somewhere that I can leave my belongings?
Each facility has lockers and you will be provided with a key after you have checked-in, against a deposit refundable. We cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen in our property.

Do I need to bring extra cash?
The facilities each have a boutique with clothes and souvenirs, (where you can also buy the video and photos taken during your Dolphin program), along with restaurants and snack bars, so you may want to bring some extra cash or a credit card with you.
